As a Chemical Plating Engineer in plating and Industrial Automation here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and productivity of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence in the field of industrial automation.
Develop, prepare, and maintain plating manufacturing process routings and process sheets. Under general direction, create the design and implementation of plating racks, chemicals, fixtures, and tools to support processes. Develop and implement manufacturing engineering procedures. With your expertise and leadership, you will contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
You will report directly to our Operations Manager, and you will work out of our location in Freeport, IL onsite.
In this role, you will make an impact by optimizing production processes in plating, implementing advanced automation technologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will help us stay at the forefront of plating operations and ensure that we deliver innovative and high-quality products to our customers. Your contributions will directly impact our bottom line and help us maintain our position as a global technology leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The salary range for this position is ($68,000 - $85,000). Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
- Experience in Chemical Engineering/Plating or related field
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering efforts and plating production/chemical experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation technologies and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving results.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in industrial automation.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
