We have an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Machine Operator to join our diverse team in Freeport, IL. Machine Operators will align parts for the assembly process, communicate with the team lead about any issues that could affect production goals, stock shelves, operate the forklift safely within the facility, and support operators with assembly tasks. Collaborate with other shifts to meet production needs and drive continuous improvement in Kits and Joining.
The hourly range for this role is $20.95 to $23.00 per hour, including a 10% premium for night shifts. The schedule for this position is Sunday through Thursday, from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Each day, you will concentrate on reviewing the production board and assessing the production floor. Additionally, you will support the placement of operators in their designated work areas and ensure they have the necessary tools. Communicate any safety concerns that arise. Assess the production layout to ensure it aligns with schedule objectives.
What We're Looking For- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals across various units of measure.
- Competent in general computer skills for accurate information recording.
- Strong communication skills, collaborative team orientation, and safe forklift operation abilities.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning and comprehension to effectively follow instructions presented in written, oral, or diagrammatic formats.
