De-Dunnage General Production Associate
This role supports a manufacturing and warehouse operation by safely removing, sorting, and disposing of packaging materials (dunnage) from incoming raw materials so that parts are ready for storage or production. You will work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment using material-handling equipment and basic tools to keep inbound areas organized, safe, and flowing efficiently.
Responsibilities- Receive inbound materials from suppliers and verify that loads are ready for de-dunnage processing.
- Remove all packaging materials from incoming parts, including wood, cardboard, plastic wrap, straps, foam, pallets, pallet collars, crates, and slip sheets.
- Sort and separate dunnage into appropriate categories such as reusable pallets, scrap wood, recyclable materials, and trash for proper disposal or reuse.
- Stage bare parts for warehousing or direct delivery to production areas such as press brakes, welding, and assembly lines.
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, band cutters, and hand tools safely and effectively to move materials and remove packaging.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inbound area by clearing debris, stacking pallets, and keeping walkways and work zones free of obstructions.
- Follow strict safety procedures when working around sharp straps, nails, heavy loads, and moving equipment.
- Read and follow basic work instructions, labels, and directions to ensure materials flow to the correct locations.
- Perform general production and warehouse tasks as needed, including general labor, assembly support, basic machine operation, and inspection activities.
- Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 40–50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Stand, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions for the duration of the shift while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Ability to safely lift and move 40–50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for the full shift.
- Basic ability to read work instructions and follow written and verbal directions.
- Experience in general production, warehouse production, or order picking.
- Comfort working in a hands-on, physical role in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, band cutters, and hand tools.
- Attention to detail when sorting materials and staging parts for warehousing or production.
- Reliability and punctuality for 1st shift work with some flexibility for additional hours as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Forklift experience helpful, or willingness to be trained on forklift operation.
- Experience with general labor, assembly, machine operation, or inspection is a plus.
- Comfort working with wood, cardboard, plastic, foam, and other packaging materials.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support different production or warehouse tasks as needed.

WorkEnvironment
This is a full-time 1st shift position in a manufacturing and warehouse setting. Standard hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with openness needed for a 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. schedule as required. There may be additional post-shift work and occasional Saturday shifts based on operational needs. You will work around forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment, and you will regularly handle wood, pallets, cardboard, foam, plastic wrap, banding, and similar packaging materials.
The environment is active and physical, requiring frequent lifting, standing, bending, and repetitive motions.…
