Required:
BLS ACLS PALS or ENPC TNS or TNCC NIHSS Facility & Unit Details Community Hospital (Non-trauma) STEMI/Stroke Ready 24 ED beds (includes 4 behavioral health safe rooms) 60–80 patients per 24 hours Ratios: 1:4–5 (based on acuity & staffing) No separate Fast Track (intermixed) Triage in department (travelers typically not assigned) – ESI system Security in-house 24/7 Patient Population Neonates to geriatrics Respiratory viruses, MI, MVA, general emergencies Acute critical care cases May manage extended holds depending on weather Common Drips:
All critical care drips Required Skills Moderate sedation Lumbar puncture assistance Strong EKG interpretation (RNs read & interpret) Must be comfortable with vented/critical patients Support Staff ED Techs (CNA/EMT/Paramedic) – EKGs, blood draws, wound care, transport House Supervisor 24/7 Charge Nurse (days) 24/7 provider coverage (MD + Midlevel based on volume) RT available/on-call support Scheduling 12-hour shifts: 7a–7p, 10a–10p, 11a–11p, 12p–12a, 7p–7a Every other weekend (or per unit needs) Holiday rotation (likely to work some holidays) No call required Floating May float to MS, Tele, ICU Typically helping hands;
full assignment if experienced Scrubs:
