The Quality Assurance Manager establishes, maintains, and improves the company's quality systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, customer requirements, and internal standards. They oversee nonconforming material control, quality documentation, PPAP submissions, RGA investigations, and quality inspections throughout manufacturing, while leading ISO audit activities, supporting Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, and providing timely quality data using Excel and digital tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide QA personnel, ensuring quality requirements are integrated into daily plant operations.
  • Oversee quality inspections from incoming materials to finished goods, ensuring compliance with specifications and control plans.
  • Build and maintain quality relationships with customers and suppliers, communicating on quality issues, PPAP status, and corrective actions.
  • Drive improvements to quality systems, documentation, and digital reporting tools.
  • Foster trust-based customer partnerships through consistent quality performance and responsiveness.
  • Train, coach, and develop QA staff to strengthen technical capability and quality culture.
  • Manage programs to achieve top customer quality ratings and certifications.
  • Maintain internal quality indicators, dashboards, and metrics; report timely to customers and leadership.
  • Supervise QA equipment, facilities, and staff, including calibration, laboratory operations, testing methods, and records integrity.
  • Oversee product and process management systems supporting manufacturing control plans, specifications, quality standards, and training.
  • Provide timely and accurate quality feedback to departments for process evaluation and improvement.
  • Coordinate ISO 9001:2015 audits, internal audits, supplier audits, and compliance activities with the ISO Management Representative.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in quality, engineering, or manufacturing roles
  • Strong leadership, self-motivation, and decision-making ability
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis
  • Ability to interact with all levels of personnel as the primary quality representative
  • Experience with ISO 9001 audits, PPAP, CAPA, and quality inspection systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, charts, data analysis)
Preferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
  • Supervisory experience (3+ years) preferred
  • Experience in tire manufacturing or materials preferred
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
