Pharmacy Technician

Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possibility to extend)

Location: Remote - Florida

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM-6:00 PM CT

Overtime: No OT required

• Prepare, count, label, and package pharmaceuticals for pharmacist approval while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Process prescription orders and perform accurate data entry while maintaining prescription logs and documentation.
• Work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist and interact with various departments to support timely prescription fulfillment.
• Make outbound calls to doctors' offices and healthcare providers to obtain required information and support prescription processing.
• Coordinate with providers, pharmacies, and internal teams to resolve prescription-related issues and obtain necessary information.
• Purchase, receive, coordinate, and maintain pharmacy inventory, including updating inventory recap reports.
• Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock and properly document disposal or return-to-stock activities.
• Calibrate pharmacy equipment accurately and maintain required calibration, temperature, cleaning, and maintenance logs.
• Follow all safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies.

• High School Diploma or Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Hospital, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong data entry, telephone communication, multitasking, teamwork, and computer skills.
• Heavy phone experience and strong customer service skills are preferred.
• Ability to manage high-volume workflows and maintain productivity and accuracy.
• Familiarity with medications commonly used to treat chronic and debilitating illnesses.
