Title: Temporary Benefits & Leave Specialist
Duration: 6-months
Location: Remote
Compensation: $35-$45 per hour
Must Have: UKG experience
Our client is seeking an experienced Benefits & Leave Specialist to provide hands-on support for benefits administration, open enrollment activities, and employee leave management during a temporary six-month assignment. This individual will operate independently, manage employee inquiries, analyze benefits data, and support ongoing HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of making informed decisions with minimal supervision while delivering exceptional employee support.
Key ResponsibilitiesBenefits Administration
- Support open enrollment activities and annual benefits processes.
- Administer employee benefit programs, including life event changes and enrollment updates.
- Respond to employee questions regarding benefits plans and eligibility.
- Review, reconcile, and analyze benefits-related data to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
- Monitor outstanding issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage employee leaves of absence and related documentation.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for leave-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and company leave requirements.
- Guide employees through leave processes and benefit implications.
- Maintain accurate records and track leave activity.
- Assist with benefits-related system updates, testing activities, and data validation efforts.
- Review data for accuracy and identify potential inconsistencies.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot benefits and leave administration issues.
- Support ongoing HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience administering employee benefits programs and open enrollment processes.
- Strong leave administration experience required; multi-state leave experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and reconcile data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience working with HRIS and benefits administration platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
