Sr Structural Engineer; Data Center

Position Overview

Senior Structural Engineer within the Advanced Manufacturing team. Design and analyze structural components for Data Center projects, including new builds, retrofits, and colocation facilities. Collaborate with a diverse engineering team and coordinate with design departments across domestic and international Jacobs offices.

• Perform a variety of structural analyses.
• Create computer models for structures.
• Conduct member and foundation design calculations, prepare material take‑offs for estimating, and produce miscellaneous calculations.
• Assist with project schedules and coordinate deliverables.
• Travel to client sites as needed (approximately 10% to 20% travel).

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Eight or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, S3D).
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other relevant design codes and standards.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including MS Teams for remote coordination.

• Master of Science in Engineering.
• Experience with industrial metals projects, such as casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industry projects.
• Leadership experience in delivering commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
