Focus: The Production Engineer - Liquefaction is a technical resource on our Operations team that optimizes daily operations and process performance. This role supports our Liquefaction process, a reliable and impactful asset to overall production. This role resolves plant issues, drives improvements, and shares knowledge to strengthen the performance of the team. You will work closely with other individuals and teams to establish and achieve annual spending plans, production commitments to the business, and cost goals.
Essential Job Functions:- Works with Technical Advising and plant employees to optimize operations to meet business and plant goals (environmental, health & safety, production, cost, productivity, quality, energy, reliability).
- Participates in advanced troubleshooting, coaches others to learn these skills, and ensures findings are documented for future usage.
- Networks with other engineers on site and within the business to leverage knowledge on plant operations.
- Initiates changes to Plant Operating procedures to ensure they are valid and up to date.
- Ensures regulatory and responsible care compliance via operating discipline while meeting the increasing demand.
- Works with Plant Process Control roles to ensure process control is optimized in the facility.
- Helps coordinate area of responsibility during planned shutdown and maintenance activities.
- Helps develop job scopes, plans, and technical execution support during turnarounds, start-ups, and shutdowns.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years of related engineering experience within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Aspen1, IP21, or similar technologies preferred.
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's License.
* Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.
