System One is e are seeking a high-caliber Mechanical Engineer to join an engineering team in Houston, TX. This role is a temporary field assignment working in maintenance and service department.

 Mechanical Engineer is responsible for:  

+  Perform inspections and diagnostic analysis of plant rotating equipment.

+  Rotating equipment troubleshooting and repair coordination.

+  Technical support for improving equipment performance.

+  Working with operations personnel for troubleshooting and best practices for operability.

+  Coordinate/assist with overall plant piping specifications development.

 Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment  Requirements  :

+  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

+  5-10 years of rotating equipment experience for industrial applications.

+  Hands-on experience working with pumps, pump seal systems, blowers/fans, mixers, and compressors.

+  Professional Engineer License

+  TWIC Card is a plus

+  Experience working with ASME and API Standards for rotating equipment and machinery.

+  

Experience with developing and understanding Piping Material Class Specifications

+  Position requires significant exposure to vendor document review, detailed assessment of vendor design accuracy and specification compliance.

+  Strong attention to detail and capable to perform detailed technical document and drawing checking
