Overview
Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer d the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing operations. This position is on-site at the Freeport, IL location with 100% on-site work schedule.
Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Collaborate with product design, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and process capability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and standard work while ensuring compliance with control plans.
You Must Have:
- 5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization techniques, and automation skill set, including experience with industrial controls, automated equipment, data acquisition, programming/scripting, process optimization, and integration of smart manufacturing technologies to improve quality, throughput, and operational efficiency.
- Proficient in programming languages, including but not limited to LabVIEW, Python, and SQL
- Extensive experience with test systems
- Proficiency with data analysis methodologies to support process improvements.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline, preferably Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in high/low-volume mix manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to think innovatively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
- Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), testability, and failure mode identification.
- Knowledge of Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR).
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO and AS9100.
Salary: $102,000 - $127,000. This salary range is a general guideline; actual offer depends on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions.
