Title: Process Controls Engineer Co-Op (Spring 2027)
Locations: Freeport, TX;
Plaquemine, LA

Salary: $30.00 / hour
Housing Stipend Available

Focus: The Process Controls Engineer Co-Op supports maintenance and production with the development, implementation, and maintenance of process control systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need
  • Develop knowledge of programming, instrumentation, and control systems by collaborating with engineers and reviewing vendor documentation
  • Develop DCS graphics, validate control code, and test plans for DCS equipment, including servers and workstation setup
  • Support training, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts through data analysis and maintenance of standards and procedures
What You'll Bring:
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering degree program
  • Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time  official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.
  • Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 completed credit hours) prior to first rotation with Olin
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) during rotation;
    Not eligible for virtual work
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
