About the Job:
A Port Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and secure flow of imported vehicles through each Port of Entry. This position provides hands‑on operational leadership while upholding all federal, port authority, and regulatory requirements. By safeguarding MMNA’s financial, quality, and security interests, the Port Manager ensures each shipment is processed accurately and on schedule. Without this role, operational performance, shipment integrity, and regulatory compliance would be at significant risk, making the Port Manager essential to maintaining smooth and reliable port operations.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Fleet and Vehicle Logistics.

Summary:
The Port Operations Manager will oversee all day‑to‑day operations at the assigned Port of Entry, ensuring the efficient, compliant, and secure processing of imported vehicles. This role provides on‑site leadership to port processors, coordinates closely with carriers and key business partners, and ensures strict adherence to MMNA operational standards. The Port Manager is also responsible for maintaining full compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), CTPAT, and all safety and security requirements, safeguarding MMNA’s operational integrity, financial interests, and shipment quality throughout port operations.
As a Port Operations Manager, You Will:
- Manage daily port operations to ensure the timely, accurate, and secure processing of all imported vehicles.
- Oversee port processor performance, providing direction, feedback, and corrective action as needed to meet MMNA standards.
- Coordinate with ocean carriers, trucking partners, and other business stakeholders to support seamless vehicle flow and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure full compliance with CBP, CTPAT, port authority regulations, and safety/security protocols.
- Monitor vehicle quality, damage prevention practices, and inventory controls to protect MMNA’s financial and operational interests.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and audit readiness for all regulatory and internal requirements.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen overall port performance.
- Serve as the primary on‑site MMNA representative, fostering strong relationships with port authorities, processors, and logistics partners.

- 5+ years of experience in port operations, automotive logistics, supply chain, or related operational management roles.
- Proven experience overseeing daily operational workflows, preferably within a Port of Entry or similar high‑security, high‑volume logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), CTPAT requirements, and other federal, state, and port‑authority regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage third‑party processors, vendors, or logistics partners to meet performance, quality, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to quickly address operational or compliance issues on‑site.
