Body Shop Technician

Summary/Objective

Assess and repair damages to vehicles damaged during transport and damages that occur internally.

• Verify VIN or vehicle with VIN on work order.
• Inspect body prep work before painting.
• Prepare and paint vehicle.
• Vaseor must complete hotline on unit if unit requires hotline.
• RO must be completed and submitted to admin.
• Periodic inspections of booths, filters, lights, temperature, etc. to ensure booths are properly operating.
• Inspect unit after work is complete.

• Effective communicator in listening, writing, and verbal.

• Ability to solve problems.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Punctual and dependable person.

This position has no direct reports.

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.

Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position may require overtime.

This position does not have any travel requirements.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.

Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Must be able to obtain TWIC badge. Must have a valid Driver’s License.
