Production Technician
Linde Inc. – Freeport, TX
Responsibilities- Work a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule (7 days on / 7 days off / 7 days on‑call) reporting to the Production Superintendent.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, permitting, and incident reporting to support a strong safety culture.
- Perform and verify lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures for maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, permits, and company policies.
- Maintain product quality standards and support quality programs and audits.
- Operate and control processes to achieve required flows, pressures, purities, and performance targets.
- Monitor product purity, inventory, pressure, and equipment performance to identify abnormalities.
- Track and support production KPIs and performance goals.
- Use the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system to manage maintenance work orders and activities.
- Support maintenance teams in maintaining plant, buildings, and equipment.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, control‑loop logic, and understand process interactions.
- Apply knowledge of air‑separation processes and system operations, and monitor efficiency metrics such as compressor performance, distillation, and cooling systems.
- Operate and monitor systems using HMI and plant controls.
- Follow all operational procedures, alerts, and technical bulletins and communicate operational deviations to leadership promptly.
- Complete required LMS and on‑the‑job training within established timelines.
- More than five (5+) years of experience in an industrial production environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Process Technology, apprenticeship, or related experience preferred.
- Experience in continuous chemical operations preferred.
- Strong computer and technical skills.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to meet physical job requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, wearing required PPE, and qualifying for a full‑face respirator.
