As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Control in Freeport, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a major chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required. You will be part of a team that values reliability, innovation, integrity, and a people‑first culture.

- Monitor and control access to the location, verify credentials, and grant entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
- Provide customer service to clients, follow security procedures and site policies, and respond to emergencies when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, maintaining communication with Allied Universal and site management as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Observe and report suspicious activity or security-related incidents, document details, and escalate as necessary.
- Assist with enforcing compliance with company policies related to access control and prohibited items within the chemical/petrochemical environment.
- Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by TSA is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
