Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

How This Role Works
  • Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
    You are hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program
    :
    In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, badging activities, and other security‑related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitor and vendor access requests, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other site activity in required logs and systems.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, perimeter, gates, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
  • Support vehicle and truck access procedures by checking identification, confirming authorization, observing loads when required by site policy, and reporting discrepancies, suspicious activity, and access issues to the appropriate contact.
Minimum Requirements
  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
  • A TSA‑issued TWIC is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
