Turner Industries Group is seeking Journeyman Pipefitter Fabricators with a minimum of 4 years of experience for shop and site work in Freeport, TX. The successful candidate will be able to read prints, make sketches and layouts from existing installed pipe spools, fabricate spools in the shop, and perform field remove and replace.

There is no per diem or relocation assistance for these positions; successful candidates will be local. Non-exempt role;

General Job Description:

Lays out, fabricates, prepares and checks pipe against job specifications for assembly at the job site.

Functional Requirements:

Interprets spool sheet diagrams to determine size, shapes and angles of required pipes, pipe fittings, flanges, etc.; plans sequence of fabrication; measures and cuts pipe; cleans and prepares pipe by grinding, bends and threads pipe - may operate bending machine; assembles and joins pipe and pipe fittings; may operate hydraulic lift to relocate pipe.

Tools/Equipment:

Employee may be required to provide the following: tool box, pipe wrenches, crescent wrenches, level, torpedo level, square, tri square, plumb bob, channel lock, hammer, center punch, flat or regular screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, set of combination wrenches, tape, folding rule, wrap around, work gloves, striker, cutting goggles, tip cleaner, chisel, rain suit.
