Description
Drive food truck to/from events. Manage event site in parking lot of Stop & Shop stores and at local community events. Distribute samples to consumers – most items are non‑alcoholic beverages or pre‑packed food items. Some light cooking may be required, depending on participating suppliers. Locations:
Truck location – Freetown, MA (truck “lives” at Stop & Shop warehouse – need someone conveniently located here). Event locations – RI, CT, MA, NY, NJ. Will require overnight travel for many events, possibly multiple nights in a row.
- Vehicle transport, pickup, delivery, and general care of the vehicle.
- Vehicle operation adhering to agency and DOT guidelines (including Pre‑Trip and Post‑Trip Inspections).
- DOT HOS/Log Book Management.
- Vehicle paperwork and supply management.
- Parking lot maintenance and care.
- Vehicle launch support.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Minimum Education and
Work Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid professional driver’s license and clean MVR.
- Proven working experience as a delivery driver.
- High level of personal integrity and reliability.
- Persistent follow‑through and task completion.
- Develops and maintains trusting, respectful, collaborative relationships.
- Flexible and adaptable to change and facilitating change within the organization.
- Acts pro‑actively in a positive manner.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Willing and able to work long hours and travel on short notice.
- Flexible with work hours as responsibilities require; willing to work non‑standard hours, weekends and holidays.
- Passionate about the work and the business.
- Get‑it‑done attitude with problem‑solving ability.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Passes drug test and other Department of Transportation requirements.
- Travel required.
