Schedule:
Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with required on‑call snow removal duties during the winter.
As a Maintenance Worker – Groundskeeper, your primary responsibility is to ensure that all buildings are kept in safe and functional condition. This means performing a variety of tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and groundskeeping.
You tackle minor maintenance issues as they arise, leveraging your skills in carpentry to address structural concerns, conducting interior and exterior painting when needed, and maintaining the grounds to uphold aesthetic standards. Additionally, snow removal is a mandatory task during winter months. Your role is incredibly important, and you leave each day knowing you’ve made a huge difference!
Requirements- Current driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to work effectively, collaboratively, and respectfully
- Flexibility to work varying hours to meet the needs of the department
- Ability to meet EEC/DESE requirements for in‑service hours
- Physical ability to carry, lift, stand, bend, kneel, and climb as needed
A license in carpentry is preferred. We'd also love it if you have at least a year of experience in facilities maintenance and a high school diploma or equivalent, but it's not required!
