Staff Accountant

Description

Summary:

Our company is seeking a hands-on Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow their accounting career with a publicly traded technology firm. The role is heavily involved in day-to-day accounting operations and offers exposure to both technical and operational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Perform daily general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes

+ Assist with preparation of financial statements and SEC reporting documentation under US GAAP

+ Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing as needed

+ Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis to support business decisions and compliance requirements

+ Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with internal policies, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and regulatory requirements

+ Participate in process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting function

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and audits

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

+ 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience; prior work in a public company environment preferred but not required

+ Working knowledge of general ledger functions, with practical experience or educational background in journal entries and reconciliations

+ Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP/accounting software is an advantage

+ A positive, can-do attitude, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills

+ Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
