Are you a seasoned senior accounting professional who is open to supporting a wonderful organization with month‑end close? Do you have experience using Sage software and supporting with ad‑hoc projects? We are looking for a senior accountant professional for an onsite role in Fremont, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience, strong GL experience, and good Excel skills.

Leadership experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and review month‑end close activities
    , including journal entries and reconciliations for cash, accruals, allocations, and prepayments.
  • Maintain and analyze the general ledger
    , ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review financial statements
    , variance analyses, and supporting schedules.
  • Manage expense allocations across departments and ensure proper coding.
  • Oversee prepaid expense accounting
    , including amortization schedules.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and implement best practices.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, reconciliations, and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience
    , including strong GL and month‑end close exposure.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
  • Experience with Sage is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of cash accounting
    , expense accruals
    , and prepayment processes
    .
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
