Job Description
This is a true player‑coach role. We are seeking someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, digging into the details, solving problems, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities.
- Manage month‑end close processes, including inventory, accruals, labor, overhead, fixed assets, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
- Own manufacturing and cost accounting processes.
- Analyze manufacturing variances and operational performance.
- Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, BOMs, routings, and cost allocations.
- Partner with operations leadership to improve plant performance and profitability.
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and financial analyses to support decision‑making.
- Identify business challenges and proactively develop solutions.
- Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements.
- Lead and develop a small accounting team.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing accounting:
- Cost accounting
- Inventory accounting
- Manufacturing variances
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Routings
- Accruals
- Financial reporting
- Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, JDE, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and large data analysis.
- Prior experience managing and developing teams.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with Operations and Plant Leadership.
- CPA designation.
- Experience in a large‑scale manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a high‑growth and/or private equity‑backed company.
- Proven track record driving change and process improvement.

- Base Salary: $180,000–$230,000
