Site Controller

Fremont, CA | Onsite | Manufacturing Environment

Our client is seeking a Site Controller to lead accounting operations at their Fremont, CA manufacturing facility. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing the accounting function, partnering with operations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls.

In this role, you'll manage the month‑end close process, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, financial reporting, warranty reserves, intercompany transactions, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while supporting business performance across the site.

• Lead all general ledger accounting activities and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage the accounting department and supervise staff accountants.
• Oversee month‑end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Recognize revenue for vendor‑managed inventory programs and customer contracts.
• Analyze inventory, labor, material, payroll, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare financial analyses, forecasts, budgets, and operational reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams to drive performance.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
• Review AP disbursements, wire transfers, and payment approvals.
• Support audits and compliance initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 3+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience in manufacturing
• Experience with U.S. GAAP, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, Financial Reporting, and Budgeting & Forecasting
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, or JD Edwards
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• CPA Certification is strongly preferred
