Accounts Receivable/ Collections, Accounting Assistant
Do you have at least two years of billing or accounts receivable experience within the construction industry? Do you want to work with a team-oriented company with opportunities to learn and grow? We are looking for a construction billing (or payroll) professional for a new job opportunity here in Fremont, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of work experience, strong attention to detail, and be able to thrive in a fast paced-environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit invoices based on project contracts, change orders, and work completed.
- Generate monthly billing packages including pay applications, schedules of values, affidavits, and lien waivers.
- Ensure invoices comply with contract requirements and client specifications.
- Submit invoices via customer portals or email and track billing status.
- Maintain organized billing records and archive billing history in the accounting system.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end close and reporting related to billing.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Experience: 2+ year of billing experience, preferably in construction or project-based environments.
- Familiarity with AIA billing and construction documentation processes.
- Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
