Overview
The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.
Impact you’ll makeDirects the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s), including product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. Monitors the development of business plans, assesses market penetration, and product positioning to drive competitive advantage, revenue and market share. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured product marketing plans. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
Establishes pricing strategies and develops marketing tools for successful product introductions. Communicates customer feedback to engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product definition and business plans with joint departments. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Align on Product Transfers and Product Roadmaps for Etch Upgrades working with EPG
- Owns Upgrade Product Pre-Discount Pricing
- Tracks GM% for single product pricing (aligns on total COGS working with RBMs, Config. Engineers, and Product Managers)
- Owns upgrade product transfers (product roadmap) working with Product Management teams in Upgrades PL, EPG and other stakeholders
- Owns and maintains Upgrades Product Collateral and ensures delivery of value proposition to customers/ATs
- Develop Market Requirements Statement and Business Plan for new upgrade product development including Served Available Market (SAM)
- Prepares Marketing Plan for Upgrade Product Fan out and aligns with PL Head
- Work with PL head, PL BD head and PL BD to prioritize market share strategy
- Conducts Product Training (either in MRMs or offline)
- Shares CI with rest of Lam Stakeholders (CSBG and outside)
- Drives roadmap alignment with account teams
- Track global installed base benchmarks and trends
- Owns Upgrades PL strategy cycle and deliverables that go into CSBG PL (I , Q , ESPC, SAR, AOP, etc.)
The ideal candidate will have an MS or Ph.D. in either Engineering (Chemical, Material Science, Mechanical) or Sciences or an MBA (General Management, Operations, Marketing specialization) and 5+ years or equivalent experience in Semiconductor Equipment industry or Semiconductor Manufacturing.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week.
