What to Expect

As a Construction Superintendent at Tesla, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of manufacturing facilities. You will serve as the primary coordinator of field operations, working cross-functionally with base build, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

• Lead the successful execution of both contracted and self-performed construction projects.
• Develop and manage project schedules, identifying critical paths and addressing any roadblocks.
• Create and maintain site logistics and execution plans.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem‑solving and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Direct field work, track changes, and provide leadership within project teams.
• Work closely with engineering teams to resolve design issues promptly.
• Ensure installations meet end‑user requirements and adhere to quality standards.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience managing large‑scale commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to effectively present information.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and scheduling software (Microsoft Projects) able to identify and implement the best method to communicate or plan a project and scopes.
• Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and managing changes to construction design documents with ability to provide constructability feedback.
• Ability to travel to various project locations as needed (up to 50%), often on short notice.

Annual salary range: $80,000 – $174,000 + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay may vary based on market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements depending on the position offered.
