Analyst I
Under the direct supervision of the Principal of Education, or designee, the Analyst I serves as a member of the education team. The Analyst I performs analytical and consultative duties related to the coordination and administration of education programs at the California School for the Blind. The incumbent provides program coordination, compliance monitoring, reporting support, and administrative analysis to support leadership in managing school operations and educational programs.
The Analyst I exercises a high degree of good judgment and independence, accepts responsibility for work accuracy, follows both oral and written instruction, uses standard office equipment in the performance of duties, and reads and writes at a level required for successful job performance. Serves as administrative support to the Principal of Education and Principal of Career and Vocational Programs and may need to drive a state vehicle.
Demonstrates skills in Microsoft Word and basic Excel. This is an in-person, on campus position. This position has a Pay Differential 515 - State Special Schools Recruitment and Retention of 10% of the base salary. Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 1 and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 hours of PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027.
The pay reduction is not included in the salary listed below.
