Based in Fremont, CA, our client is dedicated to providing solutions to customer specified custom design intent. Their team is passionate about excellence and is committed to maintaining industry-leading standards.
They have been stalled at $7-$8M and in need of additional estimating talent to move into greater profitability by increasing their topline several million dollars. They cannot respond to all the ITB received. They must support the GC that continually give them business so are unable to properly handle new contractors. The person that can increase the topline will be a key contributor to achieving their goal of $1M / month over the next 2-3 years.
They are looking into the new technologies that AI are bringing to the industry. A portion of this key person's time will help the president investigate new and more efficient technology and methods that are becoming available.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Millwork Estimator located in Fremont, CA. The Senior Millwork Estimator will be responsible for leading 2 junior estimators implementing detailed and accurate project estimates, analyzing architectural drawings and specifications, and coordinating with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to secure project wins. Additional tasks include working with major general contractor's preconstruction teams to build backlog on million-dollar projects 1-2 years in the future.
Also to assist the president in evaluating new estimating processes.
- Expertise in millwork estimation, architectural drawing analysis, and specification interpretation
- Proficiency in preparing cost analyses, bids, and project budgets
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Experience in client communication and vendor negotiation
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office especially Excel (Soon to port to Access)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in millwork and commercial construction or related trades is highly preferred
