The Millwork Division is a skilled and dedicated group of craftsmen, designers, and project managers.
Terlin is seeking a full-time, experienced, and detail-driven Millwork Estimator to join their Millwork Division.
Responsibilities- Project Estimation:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for millwork projects by analyzing blueprints, drawings, and specifications. - Quantity Take-offs:
Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from architectural documents, ensuring consistency across original drawings, addendums, and quotes. - Bid Preparation:
Develop and submit final bid proposals, overseeing the tender document submission process. - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, architects, and subcontractors to establish unit costs, labour rates, and productivity considerations. - Cost Negotiation:
Negotiate favorable pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project budgets. - Problem-Solving:
Identify and propose alternative configurations and construction details to address project challenges. - Additional Duties:
Perform tasks as directed to support team success.
- Minimum of 2 years in millwork estimating or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading architectural blueprints and using estimating software; experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills with excellent time management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, think creatively, and adapt to new concepts and challenges.
- Capacity to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- A valid Secret security clearance (or ability to successfully obtain one) is required.
