HVAC / Mechanical Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced HVAC / Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will oversee project financials, scheduling, procurement, subcontractors, field operations, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from award through closeout.
- Review contracts, scope, budgets, schedules, and project requirements.
- Lead project planning, procurement, scheduling, and execution.
- Coordinate with estimating, engineering, field leadership, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Manage project financials including forecasting, budgets, labor productivity, and profitability.
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and contract administration.
- Build strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Conduct project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Partner with field leadership to maintain schedule, manpower planning, and quality.
- Manage commissioning, startup, punch lists, and project closeout documentation.
- Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously based on project size and complexity.
- 5+ years of commercial mechanical or HVAC project management experience.
- Experience with design build, negotiated, and hard bid projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical construction.
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
- Ability to read construction drawings and contract documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel to project sites.
- Comfortable working in office and construction environments.
- Ability to access rooftops, ladders, and active construction sites when required.
