Position OverviewReporting to the Humanities Professor of General Education and the General Education Department, this position is responsible for providing assistance and support to instructional design and other related tasks. This is a work study position for full time students at the university not to exceed 10 hours a week, located in Fremont, CA.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist with classroom technology.
- Procure items for in-class activities.
- Ensure learning outcomes align with APP course objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be registered as a full-time student at SFBU.
Must have a GPA 3.5 or higher and be in good standing at the university.
Must have at least one full semester completed at the university.
Preferred Responsibilities- Must be currently pursuing a Masters degree at SFBU at time of work-related duties.
- Must have a background and knowledge of design theory and leadership development experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Must have knowledge of design theory as it relates to teaching and learning.
- Must have competence and skills in Canvas, Canva, and other technologies needed to assist with curriculum development and support.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice.
- Job duties typically performed in an office environment.
- Physical demands may include lifting up to 20 lbs, bending and sitting.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit or stand for long periods.
Salary Range: $18 - $22 per hour
