Position SummaryThe Resident Assistant (RA) is a live-in, part-time position responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive living environment. RAs work collaboratively with the Residential Community Coordinator, Housing Staff, Facilities, and the Dean of Students to promote the university’s mission. RAs must be full-time SFBU students, dedicating approximately 10–15 hours per week, with housing provided as compensation.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimarily office-based; physical demands may include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and sitting. Occasional long periods of sitting or standing.
Salary and CompensationHousing is provided as primary compensation. Additional hours are paid at $20/hour for hours beyond 10–15 weekly, in accordance with California law. The estimated value of housing is approximately $1,200/month.
