Requirements / Qualifications

2 Letters of Recommendation Documentation of passing the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Examination or 48 semester units or equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree or higher. Current CPR and First Aid certification

Equivalent to graduation from high school. Desirable:
Technical or college level course work or training dealing with Special Education students needs.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Equivalent of one school year of experience working with Special Education Students in an academic, social, emotional or functional instructional environment.

Following the recruitment closing date, the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated. Those who pass screening will be invited to participate in a written examination, tentatively scheduled for TBD. Those who pass the written examination will be invited to a panel interview with subject matter experts, tentatively scheduled for TBD. Based on the final scores, a ranked candidate list will be established.

Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a final interview with the hiring administrator. Therefore, it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.

Comments and Other Information

The Fremont Unified School District is a Merit System District and fills all vacancies in the classified service through competitive examinations. All applications and supplemental information will be reviewed to determine the candidates whose training and experience most closely match the requirements of the position. Those who pass the initial screening will be invited to participate in the testing process, which may include written, oral and/or performance exams.

The testing results will determine the rank of the candidates from which an eligibility list is prepared. Selection will be made from the top three ranks on the list.
