Molex is currently seeking an Assistant Engineer to join our Fremont, CA location. The Assistant Engineer will be responsible for conducting liquid crystal (LC) device assembly and testing. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to support, maintain, and improve LC device assembly labs and optical test systems.

In Fremont, California, we serve global clients in telecom and datacom industries in providing innovative optical components & modules to support our customer s next generation networks. We are looking for an Assistant Engineer to join our team.

What You Will Do
  • Perform standardized LC device assembly in a cleanroom environment.
  • Support the development of the LC device assembly process.
  • Conduct LC materials and device testing in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment operational and ensure a clean and organized working environment.
  • Document test procedures, collect experimental data and summarize the test results.
  • Coordinate engineering activities with cross-functional teams.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor s degree in science or engineering with laboratory experience.
  • Three (3) years or more work experience in a cleanroom environment.
  • Record keeping and data documentation experience.
  • Knowledge of optical and electrical test systems, including optical components, optical alignment, electronic devices, optical fibers, and lasers.
  • Experience supporting optical assembly and testing
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Understanding of ESD safety and laser protection.
  • Completion of 6S and ISO
    9001/TL9000 training.
  • Understanding of DOE concept.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin.

For this role, we anticipate paying $70,000 - $80,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
