What To Expect

As a Manufacturing Engineer, Power Module at Tesla, you will lead the development of innovative manufacturing processes and technologies to produce high‑quality power modules, driving the future of sustainable energy.

• Develop new manufacturing processes and technologies for power module packaging and assembly
• Collaborate with design to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) solutions and seamless integration of product design and manufacturing processes
• Conduct research and analysis to identify and implement new manufacturing processes and materials
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to validate process assumptions, understand process interactions, and optimize process conditions
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to power module assembly, including equipment, process, and material‑related problems
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process specifications, work instructions, and training materials

• 1‑2 years of experience in power electronics module assembly and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of product design and assembly interaction
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing module packaging processes, including soldering, wire bonding, encapsulation, adhesives, and other relevant technologies
• Experience with process development, optimization, and control, including statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE)
• Proven experience in automated manufacturing equipment, installation, qualification, characterization, and meeting manufacturing targets
• Proficiency in CAD tools and Six Sigma principles, with a strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience

Expected compensation: $91,600 – $195,600 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits.
