Overview
We re partnered with a reputable Civil Engineering firm that s seeking a motivated Civil Design Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a 2 to 4 year experienced engineer who s passionate about site design and eager to contribute to a wide range of land development projects from concept through construction. You ll work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and other disciplines to develop practical, efficient designs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Responsibilities- Prepare civil engineering designs and construction documents for land development projects
- Assist with site layout, grading, drainage, and utility design
- Develop and revise plans using AutoCAD
- Support permitting and agency submittals
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and review agencies
- Perform design calculations and assist with technical reports
- Incorporate feedback from senior engineers and project managers
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required; PE licensure is a plus
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience in general civil engineering design related to land development (utility design, H&H, layouts, drainage, grading, site plans, etc.)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiarity with local codes, zoning, and permitting processes
