The HSE Officer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards across project sites. This role requires a solid grasp of HSE best practices, strong communication and problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to operate both independently and within a team setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the overall HSE compliance at the site.
  • Develop and implement site‑specific safety plans and procedures in alignment with company HSE policies.
  • Organise monthly safety meetings and conduct regular site safety audits, reporting findings to senior management.
  • Deliver safety training sessions and other HSE‑related education as directed by leadership.
  • Carry out routine safety inspections—daily, weekly, and monthly—and document findings accordingly.
  • Collaborate with both workers and management to establish and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform risk assessments for on‑site tasks and operations.
  • Conduct audits of the site and its contractors/subcontractors; issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and document accidents or incidents.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of a proactive safety culture on‑site.
  • Apply prior experience in infrastructure project HSE management effectively.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 12 years of professional experience, preferably in Operations & Maintenance, including exposure to pumping stations, construction, rehabilitation projects, and wastewater systems.
