- Lead end-to-end engineered packaging projects for Vehicle and Energy platforms
- Interface with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Introduction, and Operations partners to gather and develop packaging requirements
- Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics to drive projects to enable the most efficient delivery of parts possible without sacrificing part quality or manufacturability
- Provide design direction and development plans of protective packaging containers, dunnage and unique shipping racks – domestic and international
- Apply industrial design techniques of CAD, technical drawings, including datum structure, GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis
- Monitor KPI’s and work with packaging design engineers to develop world-class packaging standards and continue to improve upon them
- Drive expendable to returnable projects and participate in sustainability initiatives;
Manage project budgets, risks, and change management;
Assist in vendor selection and vendor management
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Packaging, Industrial Design, or equivalent work experience with evidence of exceptional ability
- Working knowledge of CAD and technical drawings, including datum structure, GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining, welding, injection molding etc.
