What to Expect
The Tesla Solar Products team is seeking a Staff Integration Engineer to track the health of our manufacturing lines, identify sources of underperformance, and validate process and equipment changes across all portions of our 100GW "sand to cell" solar effort. Candidates for this role will have familiarity with semiconductor/solar manufacturing processes, direct experience developing and maintaining process control plans, and working knowledge of end of line device characterization.
This role will involve collaboration with the Solar Device team, Manufacturing Engineering, Factory Software, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing operations teams.
- Define methods for tracking the overall health of process equipment, based on a combination of equipment telemetry, process control measurements, and end of line test results.
- Combine end-of-line and in-line product measurements to isolate specific causes of underperformance.
- Run controlled experiments to validate product performance across all corners of our process windows.
- Create tool qualification plans, to ensure that all new equipment can match the performance of the existing tool sets.
- Work with process engineering and supply chain to implement cost-down improvements in a high volume manufacturing environment.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in solar, semiconductor, or related domain.
- Experience with high-volume manufacturing; experience with Solar product manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience with common statistical analysis software, including JMP, Minitab, or equivalent.
- Passion for renewable energy.
- Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Expected Compensation: $156,000 - $234,000 annual salary plus cash and stock awards and benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
