About the Role- Implement equivalent circuit models (ECM) in MATLAB/Simulink
- Develop reusable simulation blocks for SOC/SOH estimation testing
- Build parameterized models across temperature, SOC, and aging states
- Develop automated parameter identification workflows
- Maintain model version control and documentation
- Work on electrochemical and thermal model development
- Interpreting experimental data to extract modeling parameters
- Contribute to validation of degradation and performance hypotheses
- Translate electrochemical insights into simulation‑ready formats
- Resistance modeling vs temperature and SOC
- Aging trend analysis
- Prepare model outputs for BMS algorithm validation
- Support simulation of dynamic power limits
- Assist in worst‑case scenario modeling (temperature, end‑of‑life)
- Collaborating with BMS and system engineering teams
- MSc with 3–6 years of relevant experience in battery modeling or physical system simulation
- PhD in Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computational Science, or a related quantitative discipline with 0–3 years of post‑PhD experience
- Strong proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink (required)
- Strong mathematical modeling and numerical analysis skills
- Experience in parameter identification and curve fitting
- Solid understanding of electrochemical fundamentals
- Strong first‑principles thinking and ability to reason from physical fundamentals
- Comfortable working in an R&D environment with evolving models and technical uncertainty
- Strong mathematical intuition and understanding of nonlinear system behavior
- Builder mindset with hands‑on execution capability in modeling and simulation
- Collaborative, open to technical feedback, and able to work within a defined technical leadership structure
- Disciplined in documentation and model version control
- Motivated to learn and contribute to novel battery chemistry development
