Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Fremont, CA.Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and electrical engineering applications.
  • Determines design approaches and parameters.
  • Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results.
  • Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
  • Also review vendor capability to support product development.
  • Design and modify IO and power cables and PCBs.
  • Find component replacements and test obsolete/End of life components.
  • Drive solutions to field problem reports.
  • Conduct design reviews when necessary.
  • Check electrical drawings and schematics before production release.
  • BOM (Bill of Material) structuring for new/updated parts.
  • Online documentation in a Product-Lifecycle-Management system.
  • Web search for parts, tools, data sheets and solutions to problems.
  • Through-hole, surface mount soldering. Jumper wires, dead-bug ICs. Document rework done.
  • Build new and modify existing cables/harnesses.
  • Proper torquing of connections.
  • Modifying (drilling, cutting) engineering box/enclosure to house all the above items.
  • Bulkhead connectors to internal cables, internal PCB mounting, Circuit breaker, contactor, EMO and panel mount status LED mounting.
  • Prototype fabrication skills such as sheet metal punching/nibbling bending shearing drilling.
  • Including crimp tools used, proper shield termination and wire gauge size.
  • Proper application of Shrink tubing.
  • 3 and single phase 208/480

    VAC wiring to circuit breakers and contractors.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the design and documentation of AC/DC power distribution systems including component selection and load balancing.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Semiconductor capital equipment power distribution design.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in PCB design process.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in applying system design models like the Systems 'VEE'.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Hands-on electronic circuit design (analog and digital), signal and controls theory, electrical board design, troubleshooting, and validation.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Harting, Molex, CPC, Ring Lugs, Ferrules, DSUB and combo DSUB connectors.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Bonus points for coax cables with RF connector.

  • Good troubleshooting skills using tools like network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs.
