The impact you’ll makeThis role offers the opportunity to build and advance a career working with Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) in a semiconductor‑focused environment. Successful candidates will have hands‑on experience with sample imaging techniques, including Cross‑Section SEM (XSEM), Energy Dispersive X‑ray Spectroscopy (EDS/EDX), and sample cleaving.
What you’ll do- Responsible for supporting a variety of semiconductor applications using Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) to image challenging structures.
- Experience imaging samples at the wafer level, including acquiring profile, sidewall, and top‑down images using SEM.
- Some experience with Energy Dispersive X‑ray Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis.
- Knowledge of SEM image optimization for a variety of materials.
- Ability to contribute to the development of Best Known Methods (BKM) for SEM imaging of new applications.
- Ability to perform SEM alignments and correct basic fault conditions on metrology equipment.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with a large internal customer base.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 2–4 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) experience.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work a shift‑based schedule as required.
- Technical Certificate in a related technical field.
- Experience in metrology or related technical areas.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.

Salary
CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $23.56 - $46.63.
The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
