Job Description


Role:
Senior Vehicle EMC Engineer
Location:
Fremont, CA (Onsite)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience:
  
  5+ years of hands-on experience in a lab environment (EMC experience preferred, but general automotive electrical testing is considered).
• EMC Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to operate EMC test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters. Familiar with vehicle EMC test methodologies (ie. Radiated Emissions, onboard emissions, radiated immunity)
• Vehicle Communication Tools:
  Proficiency with, CANalyzer or similar tools to interface with the vehicle's electronic control units (ECUs).
• SW Automation:
  Basic to intermediate ability to write and modify test scripts (ie. Bash, Python or similar) for automation.
• Vehicle Expertise:
  Knowledgeable about basic electric vehicle architecture, comfortable working in and around vehicles, including basic mechanical disassembly to access internal modules, harness modifications, fuse replacements, charging and reviving LV/HV systems
• Familiarity with automotive EMC standards: ISO, SAE, UNECE-R10

Work Environment:

• This is a highly active role requiring significant time spent in semi-Anechoic chambers and lab environments.
• Occasional travel to external testing facilities (local or regional) is required.
