Engineering Technician for Electric Car Company!

Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Execute tests: setup, perform inspections, conduct maintenance, and retrofits. Using multimeters, force gauges, and torque wrenches.

* Document and report issues identified during tests or inspections

* Collaborate with engineers to resolve mechanical & electrical issues discovered

* Support engineers in instrumentation and data acquisition

* Assist and learn from other technicians and engineers

* Assemble & wire test fixtures

* Collaboration with team for lab organization and usage.

* Understanding of Ohms law and Kirchhoff's laws.

* Use of bandsaw and a drill press for any test fabrication.

Skills & Qualifications

* Excellent attention to detail along with written & verbal communication skills

* Analytical problem-solving skills and strong organization skills

* Working principals of common closures operations, testing and characterization

* Experience using standard lab and test equipment like power supplies and DAQs

* Ability to solder, crimp, and read wire diagrams.

* Basic experience with MS office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word)

* Experience working with high voltage and low voltage components.

* Previous experience with CAN communication

* Experience working on vehicle level systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $35.00/hr.
