What to Expect

This role involves designing and developing innovative mechanical components for Tesla's vehicle platforms as part of the Vehicle Development Team. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability standards while pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence.

What You'll Do

* Design and develop mechanical systems and components for vehicle platforms

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs into overall vehicle architecture

* Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing

* Conduct testing and validation to ensure design performance and reliability

* Iterate on designs based on feedback from testing and production teams

* Contribute to innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges

* Support the transition of designs from concept to production

What You'll Bring

* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience

* Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience

* Evidence of exceptional ability in engineering or related fields

* Design engineering experience with interest in multidisciplinary engineering

* Hands-on experience in building or prototyping physical systems

* Proficiency in hand-sketching as a form of engineering communication

* Automotive engineering experience with seating systems preferred but not required

Expected Compensation

$91,600 - $234,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
