Platform Global Product Support for Etch systems

In this role, you will be part of the Platform Global Product Support for Etch systems and will directly contribute to improving tool productivity.

• Actively participate in global platform field escalations, emphasizing Lam platforms on Etch, Deposition, and Clean products (some or all).
• Acquire and apply engineering theories and problem‑solving skills in defining problems, investigating, troubleshooting, analyzing results, and providing recommendations to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct and design well‑defined experiments and tests pertaining to the development of new methods, hardware, standards, modification of current materials, components, software, or resolution of complex technical problems.
• Generate clear and concise reports to justify technical recommendations.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring proper release and hand‑off of solutions to field support organizations.
• Highly quantitative, with the ability to articulate plans including findings, data collected, and progress to Lam’s customers on a regular basis.
• Act as a liaison for cross‑functional projects across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with 8+ years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; or a PhD with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent experience.
• Creative thinking, strong problem‑solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to complete projects and learn the required skills with minimal guidance.
• Previous experience in individual project management.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Higher engineering degree a plus.
• 5+ years of semiconductor equipment field support experience; automation and robotics experience.
• Prior product design, automation, and robotics experience is beneficial.
• Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.
• Experience coordinating and communicating with cross‑functional teams.

Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
