Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical Engineering
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer, NPI to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.
This role will report to the Director of Development Engineering and is based in Fremont, CA. It is a fully on-site, in-office role, 5 days a week.
Roles and Responsibilities- Manage new NPI project transfers to Bloom Manufacturing and CM’s.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
- Work with product development to provide DFM design for manufacturing and final testing improvements.
- Develop, manage and update process PFMEAs for new or modified processes and equipment.
- Develop part and assembly drawings, Solid Works CAD models, and ePDM.
- Design tools and test fixtures for plumbing/mechanical assemblies.
- Lead the mechanical team.
- Conduct failure analysis of components and develop preventive or corrective actions.
- Develop work instructions and document new products/tests, product design improvements, and process improvements.
- Work with suppliers to generate process check requirements and tools.
- Generate and release part/assembly drawings and Bill of Materials into the PLM system.
- Train manufacturing personnel on assembly, test processes, and test equipment.
- BSEE in Electrical Engineering required; MSEE preferred.
- 0–3 years of experience in an NPI/Manufacturing Engineering or Design Development organization.
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Good analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with professionals at all levels.
- Understanding of electrical power systems, power electronics, and control systems is a plus.
- Hands‑on laboratory or industry design experience is a plus.
