What to Expect

Our team has an opportunity for a Technical Project Manager within our Service NPI team to support the Service Supply Chain organization for new program launches. Successful candidate will have a strong technical and project management background, and experience collaborating with broad cross-functional teams. This individual will work closely with Design Engineering, Collision Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Material Planning and Distribution teams, acting as a technical project management lead of a vehicle launch ensuring the service parts supply chain readiness.

What you'll do
  • Lead new vehicle part implementation into Service Supply Chain, partnering with Engineering, Service Demand Planning, Material Planning, Distribution and GSM teams
  • Partner with Design Engineering, Global Service Development, Collision development to create the Service BOM for new vehicles, derived from the Engineering BOM and CAD to determine which parts of the vehicle will be serviced and implemented in the Service Supply Chain
  • Coordinate efforts to review all Engineering and Manufacturing vehicle changes to determine the cost, operations, and supply chain impact on the Service organization
  • Perform technical analysis of part design changes to determine iterative supersession and compatibility relationships, while partnering with Design Engineering to implement changes to reduce supply chain complexity
  • Collaborate with Service Engineering and Engineering Technicians to test new designs for improved serviceability
  • Perform End of Life part analyses to reduce obsolescence and identify the most cost-effective supply continuity strategies, and work with the planning and commercial teams to implement
  • Act as an advocate and technical liaison for the Service organization in Design Engineering and Manufacturing NPI activities
What you'll bring
  • Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Ability to analyze assemblies through manufacturing process documentation and technical repair process documentation
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering and part designs well as design for serviceability
  • Able to navigate financial and practical implications of decisions at global scale
  • Understanding of interchangeability based on Form, Fit, and Function changes the product
  • Understanding Change Action processes and PLM systems
  • Experience with CAD (Solid Works, Catia, 3DX)

Expected Compensation

$96,800 - $253,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
