Product Development and NPI – Mechanical Engineering Intern
The mechanical engineering intern will work within our hardware engineering team to advance our proprietary line of biomedical devices. The ME intern will gain exposure to the product development and inner processes of a startup company while working on-site with our manufacturing location in Fremont, California.

Roles & Responsibilities Tasks may involve but are not limited to:
- Proposing and implementing product improvements;
- Proposing and supporting the development of automated test and manufacturing fixtures; and
- Proposing and implementing production line modifications to improve throughput, reduce fallout, and improve efficiency.
The intern will also be responsible for:
- Interfacing directly with our operations, R&D and commercial teams
- Helping to run our suite of 3D printers
- Presenting their work in recurring meetings and at the end of their internship
Skills/Experience Prior product development experience or prior related mechanical engineering internship/work experience preferred, especially experience in computer aided design, simulation, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing. Demonstrated leadership abilities Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication and organizational skills required Overall proficiency with a leading CAD package and a basic understanding of DFM as it pertains to 3D printing, machining, and injection molding (sheet metal a plus) Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment
Education RequirementsCurrent student in ME or related discipline (biomedical, PDE, IE, etc.) Must have finished Junior year; senior or graduate student preferred
